Scanning Tickets at Your Event

To scan tickets at your event you must:

  1. Set up your event's access control zones
  2. Log in scanning devices
  3. Then you’re ready to scan tickets

Log in scanning devices

  1. From Intellitix Cloud, click the event you want to log scanning devices in to then click Zones.
  2. You will see a QR code button next to each Access Point that has been configured.
  3. Click the QR code to make the QR code appear on your screen. The name of the Access Point will be above the QR code that appears.

  1.  You will need to log each scanning device into its Access Point with the corresponding QR code.

You can either:

  • Print this for later use by clicking the Print Code button under QR code.
  • Scan it directly from your computer screen with the device you will use for scanning.
  • Save a screenshot to your phone.
    • To screenshot from Mac - use the Command, Shift, 4 keys at one time to take a screenshot. Then send the screenshot to your phone.
    • To screenshot from Windows - use the snipping tool from your computer’s menu. Then send the screenshot to your phone.

Note

QR Codes will expire after 7 days, so please ensure you do not print or screenshot the QR codes more than 7 days before your event. QR Codes will also regenerate if you switch between different tabs on the page. If the QR code regenerates, the previous code will still be active for 7 days. 

 

5. On the devices you are using to scan tickets, tap the Intellitix FOS App icon. 
6. Tap Login

7. Tap Scan. This opens up your camera.

For a first time scan, you may be asked to allow Intellitix FOS to access your camera and to record audio. You must give permission to both camera and audio to allow scanning.

8. Scan the Access Point QR code with your scanning device. The device will vibrate when the camera scans the QR code and after a moment, will advance to the next screen. 

QR Codes will expire after 7 days, so please ensure you do not print or screenshot the QR codes more than 7 days before your event. QR Codes will also regenerate if you switch between different tabs on the page. If the QR code regenerates, the previous code will still be active for 7 days.

9. Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email of the person who will be using the device to scan tickets, then tap Finish.
10. You will be taken to the Intellitix FOS home screen. To begin scanning tickets tap Access.

Scanning tickets

  1. From the Intellitix FOS home screen tap Access.
  1. Choose your scan direction by tapping either Scan In or Scan Out.
  1. Hover the camera over the ticket or Intellitix App's QR code.



  1. Ticket details and a scan result of either Valid or Invalid will appear.

Invalid scan troubleshooting

Invalid reason Definition
Already entered at…

This ticket has already been scanned in to the venue. 

The Scan History button in the top right corner can be used to review their previous entries and exits.

The Allow Re-Entry button can be used to reopen the camera and scan it valid.

Ticket type not allowed through this access point The ticket type the guest is using is not allowed to enter through the access point the scanning device is logged in to.
Ticket is outside of validity period The ticket type the guest is using has a validity period that is outside of the current time.
Not a valid ticket for this event The ticket the guest is using is for a different event than the one the scanning device is logged in to.
