Connecting a Bluetooth Printer in Intellitix FOS App

Getting Started

If you intend on using the Mobile Box Office feature to sell tickets at your event a Bluetooth printer needs to be connected to your Intellitix FOS App. 

Before starting, double-check that your: 

  • Mobile device is sufficiently charged 
  • Printer is plugged into a working power source 
  • Printer is turned on
  • Printer is loaded with paper - the paper should be loaded with the paper feeding under the spoil, not over it

You should also make sure that you have access to your Mobile Box Office QR Code. The Mobile Box Office QR Code is located in Intellitix Cloud and is an easy method to log into your Intellitix FOS App. 

See below for instructions on how to locate the Mobile Box Office QR Code from your Integrations page in Intellitix Cloud. 

  1. Click the event name or the edit button to enter the event’s settings
  2. Click Integrations from the top menu
  3. If you’ve never accessed the Mobile Box Office QR code click initialize Mobile Box Office if you have already initialized the code click the View Mobile Box Office button

Bluetooth Printer Connection Instructions

  1. Log into your Intellitix FOS App using the Mobile Box Office QR Code.
  1. Once you are logged into your Intellitix FOS App click on the sandwich icon in the upper right-hand corner and select Printer.
  1. Select Discover Printer
  1. Then tap the printer you would like to connect your Intellitix FOS App to. 
    • The blue light beside the printer’s power button will be solid when it has been connected to the device.
  1. Once you have successfully connected your Bluetooth printer, click on the back arrow to start selling tickets.


Issue Troubleshooting Steps
A beeping noise is coming from the printer. 

This beep is likely due to a paper jam. There are two ways to address this issue:

  1. Click the paper dispensing button which will feed the printer paper and help to un-jam the device. 
  2. Open the paper dispenser area of the printer and un-jam the paper manually. Make sure the paper is feeding from under the spoil not over it.
  3. Turn the device off and back on. 
When you click on ‘Discover Printers’ a paired device is not shown.

If your Bluetooth printer is not currently connected to your device, the printer will not pop up when you click on Discover Printers. A couple of troubleshooting steps you can try: 

  1. Turn the printer on and off 
  2. Turn the mobile device on and off 

Once you have turned your devices on and off, you go back to your Intellitix FOS App and try completing the connection steps again. 

The blue light beside the printer’s power button will be solid when it has been connected to the device.

The Bluetooth printer became disconnected from the device. This will be indicated by a blinking blue light next to the printer’s power button or by being prompted to reconnect in the ticket purchase process.

Revisit the Printers section from the Intellitix FOS App home screen and follow the connection steps again.
